|  | 28th of October is the national day , the day the governor of Greece, Metaxas, refused to Surrender to the Italians on 1940 . A few days ago, Mussolini sent a ultimatum to Greece . The movement of the governor , meant as a war declaration.

There are two monasteries of St Dennis , this however is inside the mountain and required vehicle inorder to visit it. about 16 km from the village
