Zacharias radio and more monitoring site

HomeWelcome to my page Oct 8, 2006

Welcome to the site of a semi-professional photographer, serious  radio monitor (DXer),  official reporter and photographer for  the private Odium of Litohoron (the city on the hills  of world famous mountain Olympus  ), , former satellite antennas importer and installer, technology  news monitor for 3 specialized groups (one is for technology& computers  news , including  RIAA's litigations, another for radio), MP3 format techie ,web-worker, gadgets reviewer , and also a  dedicated  fan of Malaysian and dangdut music since  89 and 2000  respctively..

As radio listener I started in 1972 listening to the nearby countries  but on ca 76  was fan of Chinese SW radio and after 90s I was organized with the help of my closest friend (later bestman) to several clubs including World DX Club  that I joined I think on 92 and later to about 10 clubs worldwide, including today BCDX (DE), DX Window (DK) ,Kanto DX (JP), all of them via the net (starting from 96). Have also used special equipment  for decoding  radio teletypes on the early 90s  but on my  present house I do only radio monitoring of standard AM  format stations  with my communications receiver R75  and 16 m inverted V.

As  photographer I used   more than  8 models  since 1970s and had the help and support  of my mother and her brothers who are/were very famous  photographers with photo stores in their city. The odium of LItohoron  founded on 2006  with my parents as its members, and i support them in their PR and their newspaper weith photos and reports. As far as the  odium does not have any web page, this site will be their semi-official  site.

In this quite `heavy' and hope serious  site you will find  the following:

  1. in the journal section , radio logs including a review for a Sandisk MP3 player and a radio responses  analysis
  2. in the photos  section , photo bouquets from the Odium's  activities  including the club's trip to Athens ( nrs 50-59 ), and other interesting photos
  3. in the music  section , shortwave radio recordings , including samples from unknown Malaysian and  dangdut  songs , mostly from shortwaves that  require identification.
Non-users please notice that registration  is required  to listen to them .
All  these recordings are outside the scope of DMCA , though still i hope compliant.
  4. in the reviews section , the history on how I was involved with Malaysian  and dangdut music and  my favorite songs (titles only!), a total  of 7 postings , an article about the American digital radio HDFM in Greek  , and many  reviews on gadgets that passed my hands or I used  and several programs for MP3 tech  i bought or tested.
  5. the links section includes a small part of my bookmarks , my other  personal sites and various interesting sites I stumbled across  the news monitoring or surfing (very rare! )
  6. the videos , recently started , contain some mini videos with greek dances for the moment.

Some of the most important articles  on the above sections  are shown in the boxes below.

Partial  listing of my other  most important sites and accounts  are as follows:
